The short version: DroidKit does not collect, transmit, or sell any personal information. There is no account, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking. Everything the app stores stays on your device.
DroidKit is an Android developer toolkit published by Anik Raj C
(package com.anikrajc.droidkit). This policy explains what the app does and does not
do with data.
None. DroidKit contains no analytics SDK, no crash-reporting SDK, no advertising SDK, and no telemetry of any kind. The app does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, contacts, location, or any other personal identifier, and it has no server of its own to send anything to.
The app saves a small amount of data locally so it is useful across launches:
This is written to Android's private app storage
(SharedPreferences), which is readable only by DroidKit. It is never uploaded
anywhere. You can erase it at any time using Clear history inside the app, or by
uninstalling DroidKit or clearing its storage in Android Settings.
DroidKit requests the following permissions purely to perform its on-device functions. Data read through them is shown to you and is never transmitted.
| Permission | Why |
|---|---|
QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES |
Lists your installed apps so you can pick which one should handle a deep link, and shows which apps match a given URI. |
SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW |
Draws the optional floating bubble launcher over other apps, so you can re-run a deep link while testing. Optional and off by default. |
WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGS |
Applies developer toggles such as layout bounds and animation scales. Android only grants this manually via adb. |
ACCESS_NETWORK_STATEACCESS_WIFI_STATE |
Reads network and Wi-Fi status for the network inspector. Read-only. |
INTERNET |
Required by Android so the links and intents you launch can open. |
Pre-release builds of DroidKit are distributed to testers through Firebase App Distribution, a Google service. If you install a pre-release build as an invited tester, Google processes your email address and basic device information in order to deliver that build to you. That processing is governed by Google's Privacy Policy, not by this one. This applies only to build delivery — the app itself contains no Firebase data-collection SDKs.
When you execute a deep link or URL, Android hands it to another app or browser of your choosing. What that app does with it is covered by its own privacy policy, not this one.
DroidKit is a developer utility and is not directed at children under 13. It collects no data from anyone, including children.
If DroidKit's data practices ever change — for example if crash reporting is added in a future release — this page will be updated and the date at the top revised. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
